It was a great pleasure and achievement in getting Charli this opportunity to MODEL with Tata Naka at the official ON schedule London Fashion week at ICA Gallery.

The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) is an artistic and cultural centre on The Mall in London, just off Trafalgar Square. It is located within Nash House, part of Carlton House Terrace, near the Duke of York Steps and Admiralty Arch. It contains galleries, a theatre, two cinemas, a bookshop and a bar.

This is a feedback that Wari LACE get back from Charli:

“It has been an absolute pleasure working with Wari Lace. She displays such a professional and yet compassionate attitude towards us models. Whenever I am represented by Wari Lace, I feel immensely comfortable, as I know that I am in good hands. Not only does she attend the jobs booked to over see things, but she also attends castings. I recommend the services of Wari Lace to all models that are serious about their craft. I feel so elated that Wari Lace assisted me in getting booked for the Tata Naka presentation show. It is my first on schedule show that I have done for London Fashion Week. The show went extremely well and I have received so much exposure all over social media and in publications such as BFC, Vogue, Noctis and Hello! India just to name a few.” Charli

Just in case you missed it, here is a snapshot of Tata Naka Presentation for Autumn/Winter 2016 at London Fashion Week by British Fashion Council.

Working with Natural Hair Models

Models needed for upcoming projects.

We have been questioned on one particular area, Hair! We wish to clarify to why this area of HAIR is very significant. We at LACE request and require all models to have their own hair out on show to any castings and for any event shows that LACE is involved with.

The reasons for this is that Wari LACE / London Africa Cultural Event is from back in the days when models were requested and required to have their own hair out and also back than it was not the norm to have weaved hair as a model.

The ethics of LACE is that we work with enormous talented celebrities’ and upcoming hairstylists, hair award salons and leading hair products. By having your own hair out makes the model casting go smooth which enable the hairstylists to quickly see the condition of your hair to determine into what hair treatments, products and styles which would be best for your hair and one of the important factor is that they need to feel the condition of your hair, so it very important to understand why we have implement this strategy for all activities within LACE models. www.warilace.com

So models, you can now see that this is all for your own best interest!

What do you do next, to keep going or quit?

Quit – Quietly United In Togetherness

To not give up

Question:

Why do we have two hands?

Is it not to guide each people other hands with your own hands as togetherness?

Sometime it not about following other people times, as they may not always be on your timetable or routine.

smallsteps

One step at a time in your own space of time is what you need, so within that small progress is happening without you visualising it and while you waiting to see the changes, you will be able to have time out to refocus as little at a time.

What is the term of Black Skin does not crack?

Photograph: Bruce Talbot/ Bruce Talbot/DK Stock/Corbis

The term that Black skin does not crack is to describe Black people ageing as ageless.

The black skin apart from the melanin that protect the skin it also how we are prepared to look after our skin. Due to harsh cold weather our skin gets dry and loses moisture so we are taught from a young age into creaming our skin with Vaseline, Aloe Vera or Cocoa butter from bath to keep our skin looking from ashy and dry.

The term used: “It business and not to take it personally”, is a statement that needs to be revised.

Business is a personal matter as you are the business and you are proceeding within the business with passion, which come with feeling of loving what you want to do, so business do have some personally element within it.

Working with each other, there should be respectful behavior of conduct of approach within the work ethos.

Having a business in the early stage of growth is very remote and can be harsh on your soul and time.

Starting a business is not easy, it can and will alienate your friends, as they will see and think that you are travelling upward without them. This will cause a complexion feeling from them that you have left them behind, which is not the case.

The problem is that in the past you have been leisurely behind as it was not your time in whatever form and you and them had no problems within your friendship but as soon as you have step out in front it will became a problem. But what they do not understand is that you were all growing at different time and in different ambition and their growth may or had come to an end at a different stages and now it was your time to grown ahead.

Collaborate-for-success

Since they are your friends, you would have felt that there were and would be opportunities for them within their individual abilities to have a position within each other businesses but due to egotistical feeling they do not want be seen at a lower status than you. So the bottom line is that they will not support you fully to what you want them to do, so you have to be aware that you will lose a lots of friends and some friends will not even reinvested in monetary or time that you have invested into them. This is now called business term – not friendship.

Good versus badThere are good side of business and bad side of business as well.

You will have to be strong all the time and to control any stress and anger management that you may have.  You will have to handle it the best you can. Yes this may and can all affect you in a huge capacity and it would not matter if you are doing a great job or not!

What you will miss out for having a business:

  • Not much time for socially
  • Not enough time for entertaining with your children
  • No extra available monetary money to spend
  • No holidays

What is the end result?

  • Enjoying  creating your passion and working for yourself
  • Inspiring to help others into giving back to the next generation

Honest talk which results to relationship of love.

In celebration of Mother’s Day (2012), Jada Pinkett Smith sat down with her daughter Willow and mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones for Red Table Talk, a discussion on love, life, fame and family. In the first episode the ladies talk about what it means to be a good mother, the guilt Adrienne feels for her drug use and not being the best mother to Jada and Willow’s regrets over being famous.“My belief is that communication is the best way to create strong relationships,” Pinkett said. “Just for people to be able to sit down together and have a conversation, that’s the power of love.”

On my (Wari) own opinion as a mother this is a very beautiful and powerful insight for the third generation into having a conversation is a true honesty comments from the video.   Having this kind of conversation is very hard as different generations have difficult culture generations upbringing. Some older generations, when they were children were brought up to be seen and not heard and this has caused many hidden questions that we could never or not talk about but just to be on guard to what you can say and do without crossing the boundary line of respect.

Even when you are of age, there is still an element of things that will still not be determined for you to know of. So this third generation have broken the barrier and they can freely speak to how they feel without boundary but they need to understand that the older generation needs time to adjusts to be able to feel free into converse into anything without crossing the line of respect. This is a very emotion subject that will be of value to all if this is all done tastefully.

Red Table Talk encourages us all to take the time and have a conversation with the special women in our lives– whether it be a few minutes or a few hours. Jada hope that other families are encouraged to participate in similar dialogues with their own family members.

Why NOT to Mimic incorrect writing!

Have you wondering why some people have problems with writing and reading!

Having these problems is not about laziness or not understanding the correct written English. it about what is going on in their head.cerebroymente

These kinds of people have so much creativity going on in their head that they are swiftly so much information along in their own mind to what they are thinking, reading and writing. The information jumps as they have thought that they have written or said that they have not notices that the other peoples have not reached further within their conversation. When this happens it create for them to sometime backtrack, which sometime results to them forgetting where and what they have said or written that they have skipped to the next chapter!

It not that they do not care about the other person not fully understanding or caring about what they are doing, it just that they are so exciting in what they are creating. Even when they have slowed down it the same information as to what the person sees in their mind is with the original thoughts.

Also the way the person writes is in their own individual languages of understanding and they may have checked it a hundred time but it how they feel and see that is why they have written that way and not because it should be predominantly correct in the English literature book! They have written to say it in their own particular style way to how their want it to get across.pen-handwriting-ftr

So please try to read between the line to what is coming across into what the person is saying instead of intimidating and mocking them in their way of writing! Nobody is perfect!

What is Education??

Everybody’s ideas of education is different, well as long as you are learning it is all great!

classroom_resources_400

Good or bad, television is a massive source of learning, especially if you speak other languages apart from English.  It’s the vision of images with sounds for you to pronounce the wording in whatever language! It like when you where a toddler, when you were watching your parents making sounds that you copied and then gradually understand what the true meaning were as time went on.

Back in the days, television was a source of immense information and not too damaging for children (thanks to Mary Whitehouse) but today it a different source of information of damage!

old-television-550x310

The main source of learning which was drummed into me by my father was to read a book! Books, these days is not a source of learning for the next generation, which is a shame.

Some of us may not having many elders around us to give us the true meaning of life but instead of just guessing and given wrong information, we need to encourages people in whatever level of knowledge to show their knowledge and help the next generation by getting them to invested in their chosen studies or careers as the TEACHERS of today cannot do it all on their own!

As they said education cost money so what is wrong in investing in your future! Nothing is free in life! If you do not have the expenditure then sharing and given support to each other will be a start in moving forward to your goal! So do not close the DOOR to whom who want to learn!

What is defining as teamwork?

teamwork

Team work is a group of individuals that gathers around for the same ideas and thoughts without malicious gains. Where a team of people who are helping each other in their chosen concept ideas of their profession and ideas so that it may reach its full potential reaches without negative thoughts of demolition of the ideas.

Lace Fashion Show079-001

One must have a team to succeed in whatever they have decided to do, one cannot do all by themselves as there is a saying no man is an island, and it takes a whole village to raise a child!.

So if you are a designer, there are many various types of teamwork that you will need for you to accomplish in your profession.

We all need to work together in whatever we want even if we do not all have the same principles or belief in what and how each organisation is runned, it’s all about you getting your design and information for the world to see for you to grow your brand. Take a look at even the top celebrity designers, whether if they have money or not they invest in their brand by showcasing and advertising their brands for all to see their new collection on a six monthly basis during fashion week and afterward to attract their client base and new clients.

The question you need to ask yourself is what are you worth and how hard are you going to work to get your dream to work!

It will not take overnight and it will take some time to refine and master and there will be gains and losses but it all a learning and business gains without you realising what is happening!.

business-working-300x300

So take your time and look down the road and not just what is in front of your nose! If you cannot invest in your own business why should anybody else invest in you or are you expecting the other people to just in invest in you when you cannot invest in yourself. The secret is to  create a teamwork to invest in togetherness.

Negative verse Positive.

574670_283404971762762_1424880054_n

There is a lot of communication that people do not wish to invest in each other! It does not matter what races you are from.

Teamwork

Why is this the case when if you do not invest in yourself with others that you are feeling like this, is it because you may not be investing with others that you are feeling like this within yourself. If you go with no malicious intends you will see what comes back to you. If you think negative then negative will come to you but if you think positive and do goodness you will see potential of goodness and happiness will come to you that you will not know what to do with it! Maybe change your ways and see what comes back to you! Good karma brings great karma, bad karma only brings bad karma!
